What is Your Experience with OOrion and Meta Glasses

I have tried the OOrion app with my Oakley Meta glasses several times as new versions come out. I'll describe my experience with the app below and am interested in hearing about the experiences of others. Note: I am using an iPhone 15 Pro with the Oakley Meta Glasses (Gen. 2).

In summary, this looks like a very promising app that provides real-time live video feedback on what the glasses are seeing based on on-device AI. One doesn't have to keep asking questions about what the app sees as one moves around.

Unfortunately, for me, the app and interaction with the glasses seems to be intermittently flakey sometimes. Some of the issues I have seen include:

1. I cannot get the app to stop describing what it sees by saying "stop" as the documentation indicates that it should.

2. sometimes the video disconnects.

3. Occasionally Voiceover speech suddenly starts coming out of the iPhone's speaker instead of out of the glasses.

4. The app, when working, does a good job of finding things or describing what you are seeing. I can tell it to "look for a toothbrush" for example and it will tell me when that comes into view as I move around. It will describe what is around me as I walk around inside or outside. The descriptions are usually fairly accurate and the response is quick because it isn't sending this video to the cloud.

I haven't tested this app much with just the iPhone and not the glasses. Maybe it works more robustly with just the iPhone. But the real power of this app is to be able to use this with the glasses hands free. I hope it can improve or that other apps learn to use on device AI to give us feedback on live video using the glasses.

Anyway, what has been your experience? I don't think there are any other apps like this (but there should be!).

I've got an iPhone 16 pro running iOS26.5. Whether I set my Meta AI app to use the developer mode or not, whether I'm using WiFi or cell service, when I ask OOrion what it sees, I get the message stating that there is no video coming from the glasses, to restart them, and try again. All settings for the glasses in the OOrion app are correct. Videos are successfully taken using the Meta AI app and the glasses. So I deleted the OOrion app. It worked using the phone camera, but not the glasses, which was why I tried it. It does show promises, but not for me.
