VO Speech routes through iPhone earpiece after Phone Call

Recently, I have encountered a very annoying bug. After disconnecting from a phone call, Voiceover sometimes speaks through the iPhone earpiece instead of the speaker. Even when I close the phone app and restart VoiceOver, this behaviour persists. I can correct it by restarting the phone. I am running IOS 15.2 on an iPhone 12.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I just realize that I incorrectly stated the problem. After a phone call, Siri incorrectly roots its speech through the iPhone earpiece instead of going through the speaker. Voice over continues to speak through the speaker. Sorry for the confusion.
Has anyone else experienced this funk?

Not exactly, for me…

Not exactly, for me voiceover switches to the earpiece when you first launch the Alexa app.

Either triggering Siri or closing the app so that it's in the app switcher gets me out of it.

It use to happen a lot when you would need to use the microphone, but it's not as frequent as it once was.
