Trouble Naming Voiceover Activity

Hi, all. I'm having trouble naming a Voiceover activity. After typing the name, return doesn't work, and when I press the back button, the name reverts to Activity One. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

Regarding renaming voiceover Activities on iThing.

Okay, I said iThing because this should apply to pads and phones. I tried this on an iPhone 8 and what I came up with is after you type the name just continue to change the settings of the activity to what you want. This seems to close the edit box and the name is retained. I found no way to just close the box. looking forward to those who may have another way of doing this.

That Worked; Thanks

In fact, when I went back to my VO activities, it was already changed. Thanks for the pointer.

Changing the activity name

This is also still happening in iOS 16.3.1. I've only literally started using activities today as I've never had the need or understood the benefits. What I did was select all the text in the edit field, then type in the text I wanted and just went back. Like someone else above said, the name is retained, but it seems to take a while to update.
