Trouble deleting draft from Mail app

By peter, 13 March, 2022

iOS and iPadOS

I am using Voiceover with iOS 15.3.1. I cannot seem to get rid of the notification at the bottom of my Inbox in the Mail app that says I have 1 draft in progress. Here is what I am doing:

At the bottom of my screen in the Mail app it says that I have 1 draft in progress.

I activate that button and see the draft.

I navigate to "Cancel" and activate that button and am brought to a dialog where there is a "Delete Draft" button.

I activate the "Delete Draft" button and am returned to my Inbox.

I still still see a button "1 Draft in Progress" at the bottom of the display.

I can't seem to get rid of this button / message.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

A work-around, not a solution

I have the same problem. I email the draft to myself and then the notification goes away. I'd love an actual solution.
