By Jessica Brown, 20 December, 2014 Forum iOS and iPadOS Hi. Is there an app that will let me use an iOS device that has touch id to unlock an iOS device that does not have touch id? That would be pretty good That would be pretty good maybe, if both devices are jailbroken I think you might be able to do it if both devices were jailbroken. using a combination of Activator triggers you should be able to do it. eg. on the device with touch ID, you can set an Activator trigger where it will message your other device with a specific text such as "unlock" whenever you unlock it. And on the device without touch ID, you can set up an Activator trigger to unlock the device whenever you receive a message with that exact subject such as "unlock". maybe if both devices were jailbroken I think you can do it if both devices were jailbroken. Aah Okay. Everyone says you can do amazing things like this with activator. I don't understand how you can do it. Can anyone explain this to me? I only know to go into the settings, and then select activator, and select what you wanted to do, but it looks pretty basic to me. Is there something I'm not seeing? Finger key I think there is an app called Finger Key or something like that that you could perhaps use. I've never used it though. I wouldn't jailbreak if I were you I wouldn't jailbreak if I were you. And Apple is planning to prevent people from jailbreaking in the next upcoming big update, iOS 10. Apple's claims Apple has claimed that they will end jailbreaking since the days of iOS 4; it hasn't happened yet.
