Text Selectivity Problems Under iOS 7

By Nolan Crabb, 4 October, 2013

iOS and iPadOS
It seems whenever I select text in iOS 7, I can only select two lines at a time no matter what I do. This has nothing to do with rotor behavior. Quick example. If I do a pinch out once, the first unit of text is selected--lines, words, characters--whatever I have it set to. If I do a second pinch out, the next unit is selected. If I repeat that a third time, VoiceOver repeats the unit I've just selected, and says "unselected". It's maddening indeed to only be able to select two units before deleting, cutting, etc. This is true of my iPhone 5S and my iPad III, both running 7.2. This is true whether I'm pinching or using the braille display. The dots 2-5-6 space combination only works twice before it says "unselected." Is anyone else anywhere seeing this? And if not, does anyone have suggestions on any setting I need to alter? Last thing: I can no longer select all with the braille display with dots 2-3-5-6 and space, nor can I unselect stuff with dots 2-3-5 Space.

Really? tha'ts odd as I'm able to to select like 30 or so words at a time. Did you try restarting your phone and at worst, resetting it? Tc.
