Hi is teamviewer remote control accessible with voiceover I’m trying to control my computer with my iPhone thanks
Last time I checked, which was about a few months ago, I could do it.... it could be improved as far as accessibility goes though. Hope everything is ok with your device. Good luck.
Sorry, long explanation here, but you asked. Right now it seems I can't find the password field for accessing the remote computer in the Teamviewer app on my iPad. a couple weeks ago I could, so that part depends on the Team Viewer version you have. Don't know if it's exactly the same app for phone and iPad either.
Now for actually using Team Viewer if you are successful at connecting. The answer is: kind of sort of maybe.
Meaning that your screenreaders speech will come through TeamViewer but it may or may not come through perfectly so you may or may not be driven crazy by it.
You didn't mention what kind of computer or iPhone you are using. I was testing with a Windows virtual machine. Narrator came through very well and it seemed like the hotkeys for controlling it worked as well. The thing is, I can't say I really know how to use narrator so I couldn't do a good job of testing.
By the way, you will absolutely require a keyboard attached to your phone to make anything work. With Voiceover on, the interaction with the iOS device pretending to be the computer's touch screen really does not work at all.
If JAWs is the screenreader on the computer you're trying to control you are out of luck. It's like the operating system gets commands and uses those it recognizes, but JAWS doesn't get them so it is impossible to do most things. You can't read a webpage, for instance.
I was going to test with NVDA but had a temporary speech problem with it, and then when that was fixed I had the problem with Teamviewer on the iPad not showing me a password field, so I still don't know if that works.
If you have an iPhone with VoiceOver screen recognition capability you can use Teamviewer to read random bits of text from the computer's screen, which is kind of cool, but you have no control without a keyboard.
Now hopefully you have enough information to decide whether it is worth trying.
