a strange problem with safari

iOS and iPadOS

hi all applevis users.
now I'm experiencing a strange safari problem for 2 months.
everytime I want to go to a site with login info, when I check the remember me checkbox, safari seams to forget it, even my email too.
not only that, everyday I always use safari to browse the web, but the problem is, when I go to the history list, it says empty.
any tips how to fix this issue?
thanks very much.

Problem with Safari?

By Patrick Hurst

As far as I'm concerned, I don't use Safari much on these pages... But the duration of 2 months you stated seems to suggest it's a bug related to iOS 8.3, isn't it?
If so, have you reported the problem to Apple?

it didn't happen before, it's

it didn't happen before, it's happening after 3 weeks since I upgraded my phone to iOS 8.3, and the problem is still happening until now.

Private browsing

This might sound obvious, but have you checked that private browsing is off? I know in private mode it doesn't save anything in the history, and I don't think it saves autofill data, such as usernames and passwords in this mode either.

how to check private mode

how do I check if private mode is activated or not? do I go to the pages tab?

Yes, double-tap the "Pages" button.

Then, touch the bottom of the screen, just above the home button. Your finger should land on the "New" button. Flick to the left once, and you'll land on the "Private" button. If VoiceOver says that the button has been selected, then you're in private browsing mode. Double-tap the button to turn private browsing off.

Thanks,
Shersey
