Stock weather app not reading temperature all the time

iOS & iPadOS

Hi all. I was just checking the weather to see what the temperature is and when it will be warm enough to turn off the heat. Unfortunately it will say eight a.M. partly cloudy and go on this way until probably one or so. Why? If anyone knows let me know. For those who celebrate, Merry Xmas. Be safe. Hope santa sends you what you want. He sent me an instant pot. Hoping for more but we'll see.

I've experienced this issue quite often lately. Sometimes, if I wait a minute or two, the temp info shows up, but a more often than not, it just isn't there, at least for the first couple of hours listed. It's very strange, but I guess it's never bothered me enough to give it any serious thought.

Hi. Thx for the reply. I don't really care enough to be like Hey apple fix this. At the same time, what's up? Although since they bought Dark sky, i like how it will say something like raining for the next twenty seven minutes. Again, I wish that was more common place. The only thing i don't like, I understand, is that Apple took it from android and won't let them use it. again, companies and all that. But when my friend had it, he'd say don't leave, it will rain until two. At two, rain was gone.

Sometimes it will read the temperature if you swipe right and left a couple of times. When in doubt if it does not read the temperature you can always ask Siri. Kind of an annoyance, but at least there is a back up solution if voiceOver won't read it.

Reading this thread reminded me that I reported this to Apple quite a long time ago. I dug around in my old mail and found the mail noting the problem dated Nov. 15 2018. Apple's response back then was that they were investigating the issue. Must be some investigation!
That was iOS12.1 back then. I never installed iOS13 so I don't know if that had a problem. I've only recently installed iOS 14.3 and was astonished to find that the problem is still there.
As the previous poster noted, if you swipe away from your current location by two locations and then swipe back to your original location you will get the correct info reported by VO.
Cheers and have a merry and safe Christmas.
