I have a bunch of photos and was wondering, anyone know of any good apps I can use to create a slideshow where I can put the photos in order, adjust how long they are shown for, and add a song in for the duration of the video?
I thought that you could do this natively on the iPhone? Isn't this possible? If I remember correctly, you should be able to choose some pictures, and then add the music to it. The only downside I would say here is that, if you're using the music that comes directly with the device, you might want to do something a little bit different. Another suggestion here is to use the Clips application from Apple. I don't quite remember what the picture ratio is, meaning, I don't remember if the pictures are square, portrait, or landscape, if that matters. However, I know that you're able to select a picture, And then you're able to record the picture into the project, so, essentially, it becomes a video. The only downside here, is that, as far as I know, you're not able to specify the duration of how long you want a picture to be on screen, like, directly in the app. You might have to manually record each picture, and then trim it to the desired length, as much as you're able to, for example, five seconds. They also come with music that you can use. If you want to use your own music, I feel like that becomes more complicated. Somebody had told me once that what they did was to create the project in Clips, then they imported it into iMovie, got a screen recording of the song that they wanted to use, making sure it was to the length of the project, then, they would import the project from Clips into iMovie, Load the screen recording into iMovie as well, but only use the audio, which, in this case, would be the song. Of course, this is using the overlay feature, to ensure that both sections matched up to the best of your abilities. When you exported the final version, you would have the video version, which are the pictures that you put together, and the audio, from the screen recording, which would give you the final project. However, that's pretty technical.
