Revisiting My Hearing-Aid Issue

Hi everyone. I'm wondering if anyone on here has used an app called Enhance Pro before, and if so what has been your experience with the app's accessibility? I guess a related question is: for those of you who have used the app extensively, do you find it works better with Screen Recognition and/or Image Descriptions on or off? My father and I are going to Costco again over the weekend for a follow-up appointment with our audiologist. My hearing aids have stopped working, and it seems like this might be due to a setting in Enhance Pro. The more probable cause, however, is an extreme build-up of earwax on the hearing aids themselves. I want to make sure I tell the audiologist all the correct information.

I have never heard of this app you mentioned. Is it for a specific brand of hearing aids?

What type of hearing aids are you using? BTE or not?

I believe this app is only for Jabra hearing aids, which is what I'm using and they worked great when I first got them. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the audiologist says. He and my father noticed a little bit of healing of both my ear canals, and my hearing seems to be slightly better than it was a few months ago.

Depending on the type of hearing aids, I'd suggest that you (or a sighted family member) regularly clean the domes of your hearing aids. By that I mean if they are BTE (behind the ear) hearing aids, they would most likely be fitted with domes, i.e., replaceable plastic pieces mounted at the end of the tubes that stay inside your ear canals. Clean them once a week or so by using a wire. If your family member can, let him or her change the domes once every 6-8 weeks, or make an appointment with your audiologist. Cleaning the domes regularly can help a lot in having good sounds, I've noticed.
Forgive me, please, if I elaborated in such great detail on things you may already know. If, however, you don't have BTE hearing aids with domes, I hope your audiologist would offer advice about care you can do at home.
