By ming, 14 February, 2022 Forum iOS and iPadOS hi! all, if there have a way to read youtube capsion using voice over. Options Log in or register to post comments Comments Turn on captions Simply press the more actions button, choose captions, choose a language, swipe down to the bottom of the video player where it says Full screen, and track position, after that there’s the captions, note that it does not update automatically, you always have to double tap on to the captions while the video is playing it is not automatically? it is not automatically r eading like using apple tv, disnet+ and netflix... re: Turn on captions well, it seems can not work. when double tap the capsion thing. it doesn't read it... It’s how it is What I found out is auto generated captions on YouTube don’t usually have all the words that they speak in the video. I think you’re trying to do audio descriptions, which is not available on YouTube, unless the video specifically says that it is described. Captions are not designed for screen readers, they are designed for people who are hard of hearing I see so, hope google or youtube can make it better then Interesting, because Peacock’s app… Peacock’s app is loaded with closed captioning and reads with voice over flawlessly and gets annoying while trying to hear the program. It works with surtant apps. There’s some videos on YouTube that are audio described by default. If available? Get the you described app for audio described content.
