reading PDFs with Adobe Reader on iOS

iOS and iPadOS

Hello all,

I read somewhere that, unlike it's OS X counterpart, Adobe Reader for iOS does support Voice Over. To try it out, I opened a PDF with it. I was able to navigate my documents list and open the file, but can't work out how to actually read the content using Voice Over. If I navigate by swiping through the app, I find buttons such as "Search", "View Mode" etc. I also find something which says "Page 1 of2, and seemingly editable text fields, each labelled "1" and "2". I am able to use a 3-finger swipe to move between the pages, but unable to read the actual content with Voice Over. The same PDF works perfectly using Preview and Voice Over under OS X Yosemite.

Is it possible to read PDFs with Voice Over and Adobe Reader under iOS? I'm using iOS 8.1.2.

Any help gratefully received.

Best.
