Question about moving apps from one folder to another in IOS10

Hello there. Wondering if anyone can help me out with an issue i'm having transferring an app from one folder to another please? The app i want to move is currently inside a folder on page 2. I want to move it into a folder on page 3. Normally i've found this recent swiping up idea to rearrange apps very straightforward, but i just can't figure out how to get the app out of one folder and into another - previously i've only ever arranged apps by moving them around the main screen. Many thanks in advance for any help - i obviously have some new tricks to learn as regards managing folders lol ☺️

Moving apps

Hi,
The steps to move an app from one folder to another are as follows:
1. Tap the app you wish to move.
2. Swipe down to "Arrange apps" and tap once.
3. Swipe down until you hear "Move {app name} and tap once.
4. Swipe down until you hear "close folder" and tap once. This should bring you back to your home screen.
5. From here, you can use the 3 finger swipe (lef or right) to get to the folder you wish to add the app to. Tap on the folder to highlight it.
6. Swipe down until you hear "Add [app name] to folder". That's it.
I know you said you knew the first few steps but I wanted to include them for anyone else who may not.
Hope that helps!

hold and drag

You could use the hold and drag. Basically, just double tap and hold on the app youd like to move and hold and drag it to where you'd like it to be. Hope that helps.

Many thanks

Great,, thanks very much melinda. Very clear instructions which i'll definitely keep hold of while i'm not so confident moving apps between folders. I've not done that before but am far happier now the said app has been moved. Those who know me well know how much i insist on my apps being properly organised ☺️

Thanks

Thanks dawn. I tend to favour the swiping method more (even though some may find it a bit fiddly and long winded) just because i'm guaranteed to get it to where i want it. In previous versions of IOS when hold and drag was the only option, i'll admit i used to ask a sighted friend to arrange my apps for me; no idea why but it was always the one method i got so frustrated with.

Closing folders alturnative

You can also use the two finger back-and-forth scrub gesture to close the folders after you've selected the move option. Sometimes it seems a little quicker to me.
