Problems while sharing contacts through WhatsApp

Greetings,
I would like to share two problems I’ve been experiencing when trying to share contacts via WhatsApp. I’ve tried to fix them myself, but nothing I’ve done has worked.

As background, I have my contacts saved across three different accounts: iCloud, Google, and Outlook. However, no contact is duplicated between these accounts — I’ve always had them this way for many years, and these issues only started occurring with iOS 18.

Problem 1:
I have several contacts saved with two phone numbers — for example, their personal mobile and their work mobile. Since late last year, when I try to share one of those contacts with two numbers via WhatsApp, I select the contact, and on the next screen, where I used to be able to choose which number to share, now only the personal number appears. The one labeled as "Work" no longer shows up.

I’ve tried various ways to solve this — for instance, changing how the number appears in my contacts (including adding the country code, as ChatGPT suggested), deleting and re-saving the contact with both numbers — but nothing has worked.

Problem 2:
I have a contact saved in my Outlook account with only one phone number, and this contact is not duplicated in any other account. However, when I share this contact on WhatsApp, it appears in the conversation as if I had shared three different contacts — but it’s actually the same person and the same phone number.

I know that a solution would be to separate phone numbers as two different contacts, but that brings me a lot of work and it is not the way things use to work before.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with contacts and WhatsApp?

Thanks in advance for your help.
