Problem purchasing songs from iTunes Store in iOS 8

iOS and iPadOS

Hi, I'm trying to purchase songs on my iPhone 6 running voiceover and IoS 8.02. When I double tap on the price of the song to purchase it nothing seems to happen. Am I just being stupid or is this a known bug with voiceover running iOS 8? And if it's the latter is there a work around? Thanks in advance for any comments

Hi! I had the same problem when I bought music from iTunes after getting my iPhone 6 last week, but I don't know whether it's a bug or whether Apple has simply decided to change the VoiceOver gesture to buy anything from iTunes. Anyway, there is an easy workaround: simply triple-tap the button to buy what you want instead of double-tapping it, that worked for me. I hope this helps!

While listening to a rebroadcast of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 radio program from the 70s, I heard a song I wanted but didn't have.

I found it in iTunes, but couldn't purchase it. I remembered seeing a topic about purchasing problems with IOS 8 here so I came looking.

The trip tap solution worked on my iPod Touch 5g, I had to triple top the price button, then triple tap the buy button.

All the other buttons that I tried in iTunes worked just fine with the standard double tap. That both buttons to buy a song needed to be triple tapped, makes it seem intentional to me.

If it is intentional, and not "advertized", it seems like it might be a form of "child proofing" to prevent unauthorized purchases, but then, isn't that what having to log in to iTunes is for?

With that in mind, it would be interesting to know if iTunes behavior when buying has been changed without VO.
