possible bug with raise to listen

iOS and iPadOS

I'm running 15.2 on an IPhone8. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if this is new behavior but I am finding with raise to listen for audio messages within the messages app when someone sends me an audio message when I raise my phone up to my ear I get thrown out of the messages app. The work around for this is to double tap on the audio message and then raise to listen. Anyone else who uses this feature notice this?

Hi,

Yup, I’ve noticed this as well. It’s only happened to me a few times though. It would still definitely be worth reporting. I would also be curious to know if it still occurs when VoiceOver is disabled. I may have to test that.
