Podcast letting you skip backward and forward with the volume buttons?

Hello all, I was wondering if there is an podcast app out there, that will let me skip through a podcast with the volume buttons with a set time increment.
I would like to be able to rewind, for example without having to unlock my phone and find the skip back button. It is quite disruptive – to do that. Multiple times throughout an educational podcast for example.
Any suggestions?

How is that a logical use case?

Here's where I see an issue with what you are asking for. How do you turn the volume up or down, without as you want, turning it back five minutes, forward ten minutes. That's why I memorize where the skip back and forward buttons. I'm not sure it's possible to create an app without disrupting things.

Other options already exist

You’ve overlooked a few options here that don’t require such a disruptive solution.

The first, and most obvious, is to use Siri. You can ask her to fast forward or rewind by a custom amount of time. For example, “rewind 1 minute”.

Another free option is to create shortcuts and assign them to VO gestures. Now, I’m not sure how well this one would work never having tried it myself, but I know it is possible with the “seek” action under the “media” category.

A paid option is to use a Bluetooth headset that has media controls.

Finally, the most expensive option, and overkill just for convenient playback control, is using an Apple Watch. The “Now Playing” app provides media controls right on your wrist.

Could you possibly give me a little bit more direction on how to do this??
