Old reminders randomly popping back up again?

By Luke, 22 July, 2018

iPhone 8, iOS version 11.3. Every once in a while, seemingly out of the blue, I will suddenly get a flurry of old reminders notifications, most of which are for reminders that I have long since dismissed. Has anybody else experienced this strange issue?

Old reminders

I have an iPhone 6s and I get remaining reminders popping up at certain times two. They seem to mostly appear when doing a hard reset or turning my phone off and then back on again. Have no idea how to get rid of it for good. Does anyone know how to delete them for good?
