New sounds in IOS14 or return of old keyboard sounds

iOS & iPadOS

Hi all. I'm really wishing that Ios14 might have a new sound or two. Besides everyone's wish of new voices, or get rid of another voice, is anyone else in agreement we should have a few more sounds? I mean besides making a ringtone myself which I have no patience for, I'm unwilling to spend over a dollar in american for a thirty second clip. How many times have you seen people around go right for their pocket when the default old phone ring starts? or the Me?, look that people glance down. I don't think the sounds have been updated since maybe Ios4. I got the idea to write this, when I was hoping to turn up my sounds. I blame some of this on voice over. I still don't like the new keyboard sounds. I'd love to either have the old ones, or a choice between old, new, or none. I find the clicks very quiet and not as crisp and well, clickly as the old ones were. Just curious what others' thoughts may be. Happy easter if you celebrate or other religious wishes for those in other faiths.

I didn't even know there were old keyboard sounds.

Hi. What i mean is before I think it was version ten, there were the normal clicks. They sounded crisp and you could hear them pretty well in a louder invironment. Now, these ones are terrible. As i said, you touch a letter or two without voice over on, two things happen. One, I know it sounds louder, and two, sometimes the volume of your sounds changes and again, voice over to blame.

For one thing, I don't think a phone has rung with a bell ring sound in like 40 years. For another, as stated, I am wary of the nudges of pockets and purses, when that default ring goes off. Plus, I'd like a normal ring. I admit to disliking some of the hiphop, or other tones, just because they can be a little strange. Plus, in my head, I'd wonder why someone would've shelled out a dollar thirty to get that. As I said, I know you can make ring tones on the mac. I wouldn't mind more text option sounds as well. I went through ayoutube video where someone went through the entire sounds, even using voice over which I wasn't thrilled about. In all of them, I heard a few i've never heard before. that makes me think they bought them, or made them, and showed them off. i'll link to the video in another comment.

A long time ago, in a far galaxy, I found many, many tones sounds that I use I have close to 20 or 30 tones. want to buy the world a coke, dynasty, batman, scooby doo, the good, bad and ugly and more. If you like I am willing to share.

Most people do not care to create their own. I know I do not.

Hi Siobhan, I don't like most of the tones that come on the iPhone. It would be nice if maybe Apple would change some of those default tones with each new phone that comes out. But one thing I've learned is that downloading a ring or text tone from the iTunes Store is pretty cheap. And when you download them, the tones automatically go with the others already on your phone and you just choose the ones you want to use.
