nearby explorer installation help

By girmai Kahsai, 22 November, 2016

Forum
iOS and iPadOS

i have 6S iphone with 16 gigabyte storage. last week i bought the nearby explorer app. the app required more than 4 gigabyte space. i deleted a lot of apps to make space available to install the new app. the onboard map refused to be installed. the app would say repeatedly it needs 1.9 gigabyte space to install. i bought 50 gigabyte storage on ICloud. the app did not budge. it still continued to state it requires 1.9 gigabyte space. even whe i deleted apps, the nearby explorer app will not install.
any help or suggestion from applevis users?
regards,

iCloud vs. iPhone storage

The iCloud storage is different from your iPhone storage. I think you should also delete some photos, videos, music, TV shows and any other content that you barely use. You might also want to clear safari data. Next time when upgrading your iPhone, consider getting the 32 GB or the 64 GB models. Also try restoring your iPhone to its factory settings. Next, try installing the Nearby explorer app and see if you get the same message. If none of the steps don't work, you might want to contact your carrier and see if they will be able to change the storage of the iPhone 6. A 32 GB iPhone 6 might be better for you since the app can take about 1.9 GB of storage. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi. i'm not telling you to upgrade, but every iPhone from now on is 32 or higher I am pretty sure. I'd go with 64 or as much as you can spend. Hope you get that fixed.

I would back everything up and reset my iPhone from scratch. When it comes to installing apps, install Nearby Explorer before any other apps, pictures, music, or any other space taker upper. Then install, one by one, the most important apps. Someone mentioning seeing if your provider will swap out a phone with more storage capacity. Keep in mind that you will most likely have to pay for the difference, but it a swap can be made, get as much storage as you can.
