Issues with Flick Type Keyboard on iOS 14

I just updated to iOS 14 on my iPhone 11 pro.

I used to use the Flick Type Keyboard as my primary keyboard on iOS 13, however I am running into issues while using it on iOS 14.

Whenever Flick Type is enabled, I am required to access the rotor, and then switch on ‘Direct Touch’ before the keyboard allows me to interact with it.

Unfortunately the direct touch option does not remain enabled and every time I navigate back to the same application I have to re enable it.

This step was never required in previous versions of iOS, and I suspect it has something to do with how iOS is interacting with the keyboard, and isn’t a bug with the application itself.

Does anybody know of any workarounds for this as it is highly irritating and has alsmot made the device useless for me.

I had also contacted the developer, but I was very disappointed to get a very vague response from them telling me to contact Apple directly. I would have thought that such a major issue with the application would be something that the developer would be looking into rather than leaving users to fend for themselves and figure it out on their own.
