iPad Settings

I have a question about the settings app on the iPad. On my iPhone, if I, for example, go into settings and then general, the general opens up in its own window. But on the iPad, it opens up but I can still see all of the other settings options on the screen. I'm wondering if this can be disabled, to make the settings look like they do on the iPhone.

Unfortunately, No

Hi Lisa, To the best of my knowledge, this is an intentional design element of the iPad to take advantage of the larger screen--and cannot be disabled. If this helps any, the main settings are on the left side of the screen and the subsettings, if you will, are on the right.

Unfortunately not

This trend of splitting screens which are typically separate on the iPhone will continue if you use your iPad for any length of time. Unfortunately you'll have to get used to it. The iPad is much more suited to exploration by touch, rather than flicking or other gestures. I highly recommend you practice and get used to the new layouts.
