Inserting a pause in phone numbers

If this has previously been asked, I apologize. Is there a way to insert a pause in a contact phone number, such as for a voicemail password? I can't seem to enter all the numbers in time. Hope this makes sense.

yes, it can be done.

Hi. Press the shift key at the bottom left of the keypad, then press Comma, which is located where 4 usually is. I hope this helps. Kara
