How to increase volume of message alert

Hello,
I’m finally the owner of iPhone 5s and I’m using it with VoiceOver. I know the system quite well though I can’t cope with one difficulty. Please give me a hint how to increase the volume of message alert. I do the following: tap the settings, select sounds, adjust the volume to 100% and mark the option that volume keys do not affect sound volume level. As a result, the sound of incoming call is extremely loud but the alert for text message is not that loud. So please help me in this matter. Many thanks!

If it is a sound that you cannot hear, choose a different one.

Hi. Antoher option is make sure audio ducking is set to off. Personally that drive me crazy so I take it off the phone and Mac. If it's on the message won't be that loud as voice over is trying to tell you, hey message here. Or else turnoff speaking notifications in lock screen so it won't say alert and read the message.
