how to delete male siri tts voice?

By Josh Kennedy, 10 July, 2020

iOS and iPadOS

ok so I added the male siri tts voice to try out. I decided I did not like it, but now I cannot figure out how to delete it from my iPhone SE 2020 phone, using the latest IOS13.5.1. I deleted all rotor languages and chose the normal Samantha voice but it still says the siri male voice is using 480 or so megabytes. I even went into the select to speak voice options and I couldn't find a way to delete it from there either. I hope I don't have to reset the phone just to get rid of a single voice.

It's in the voiceover…

It's in the voiceover settings where you select the voice, but you'll need to change your region to another english speaking language first.

Once you've done that, you should be able to delete the voice, then you can change the region back.

It's an annoying workaround, but it is what it is.

Hello. I've been trying to delete Siri voices 3 and 4 from the voiceover settings on my iPhone 12 running IOS 14.5.1 and have been unable to do so. I went to settings>general>language and region and changed the default language to English Australian but was unable to delete the voices. What am I missing? Please explain.
Thanks in advance.

Just Did This

I just successfully did this yesterday, and now I have the new female voice for iOS. She's sounding very good. I now have my phone set to use British-English, and find it rather amusing. I think I'll keep it set the way it is at least for the foreseeable future. I think I'm also going to delete some other voices for now to give my phone some breathing room.
