Help me decide, should I stick with Purify, or bite the bullet and pay the $10 for Adguard Pro?

Hello guys!

I need your help in making a decision on whether to switch services or not.

I've been a Purify user for the past few years, and it does the job well enough. Plus, it's simple interface, and low price drew me in immediately as well. But, there's some adverts that I notice don't get blocked. Mainly the ones that are silent and all VO. says is something like: you can view the article in x seconds

Plus, it would be nice to have something that blocked adverts in other apps, mainly, in my Google news app. But also for some other apps as well.

Well, I heard a podcast that Thomas Domville did on Adguard Pro a while ago when I started looking at other opnames. Which I've been doing off and on.

But now, I'm wondering.

β€’ Should I switch from using Purify to Adguard Pro?
β€’ Can I use both, or is it not a good idea?
I'd just hate to spend $10 on something and regret it. And I know that I'm going to come across ads anywhere I go, but if I can @ least cut down on them, especially when browsing the web with VO. then I'm happy. Plus I like the faster load times! :-)

But, any help you can give me in making an informed choice withd be appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!

Never used these but Purify…

Never used these but Purify was last updated 2 years ago so that isn’t going to catch all the ads and tracking because they are not identified in the algorithm. Adguard Pro was updated 2 days ago. Don’t know it’s bottom line but those current updates are super important if it is going to catch these things.

AdGuard Pro

No problems with AdGuard Pro on my iPhone and iPad. Worth the asking price in my view.

Adplockplus?

I've been using it for a good while and it is free. Any reason you aren't considering it? It is the premiere ad-blocker for computer-based browsers. The only thing it doesn't do is block ads in apps, if the Luna program is still available it used to do a great job of that.

that's the 1 reason

That's the 1 veason I hadn't considered it. That, and I use an ipad. Can you run 2 or more adblockers at once? Because if you can do that with no issues, then I might consider it.

As far as I know, it all depends on the programs.

Last I checked, the web ad blocking in Luna was a separate program, and ad block plus only blocks ads on the web, no reason you couldn't run both, but I haven't tried it.

I just checked

I just checked, and according to a Google search, it appears that sadly, the Luna adblocking app has been pulled from the app store.

I agree
