Options Log in or register to post comments Comments Yes Go to Settings->Notifications and turn off notification previews on the lock screen. I believe that's the only way. You can also customize the notification settings per app, so you could modify them just for the Messages app. You could also disable VoiceOver's setting to automatically read incoming notifications, I think it's in its verbosity subcategory, but that would still leave them displayed visually when they appear.
