e-mail and downloads on the IPhone5s

iOS and iPadOS

HI all. Before I ask my questions regarding mail and downloads on the IPhone5s, first a bit of background. I'm staying with my mom. I'm unemployed for health reasons, therefore my mom is looking after me. Up till now we made use of a land line and ADSl service provider. but my mom lost her work a week ago so we have to cut down on expenses. WE have to find out what the cheapest wireless internet will be. One option is to use my IPHone for everything: browsing the web, downloading and e-mail but before I go that route I just want to make sure of 2 things. first, is it possible to download files on my Iphone that I will use on my pc? for example, I go onto a website where I download bible literature in rtf format. Also on this same website I download bible dramas in mp3 format that I listen to on my pc. Can I download all kinds of files like rtf and mp3 onto my phone using safari ? And is it then possible to transfer these files to my pc by connecting my phone to my pc with the data cable? second question. UP till now I used MSOutlook 2010 on my pc to read and write e-mail. ON my pc, I have different mail folders in outlook because I belong to various mailing lists such as a gaming list, a music list, a tech list and a general chat list. Currently I have rules set in MSOutlook so that all mail from the gamers list goes to one folder, all mail from the music mailing list to another etc. Now my question: is this possible on the IPHone? Can I create mail folders and set rules for messages to go to the different folders? Any help is much appreciated.

You can do some of what you're wanting, but you'll not be able to directly download files from Safari. There are work arounds for file management, but you may wish to look into using your phone as a hotspot, using your computer for downloading and the iPhone for everything else. This all depends on what your dataplan is like.
