By Nimer J, 8 May, 2017 Forum iOS and iPadOS I have just switched to iOS. I am looking for an accessible dvorak keyboard. iOS does not appear to have dvorak as an option unfortunately. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! I use this myself, but as far as I know there is no software Dvorak keyboard. Though I'll look around for one. Re: Dvorak Keyboard I am actually looking for an on-screen option, but thanks for the help anyway. I was excited when I found Google keyboard on the appstore, and found it to be accessible enough... however for whatever reason, Google did not include Dvorak as an option... or if they did, I can't find that option even though they say that it includes different languages. I have not found the settings for that. several listed in app store I see several dvorak keyboards listed in the app store. No doubt I am missing something here. one is called " dvorak keyboard layout " by Aspyre solutions for 99 cents. Install the Dvorak Keyboard on your device for faster typing across all your apps. Features a pixel perfect design that works in both portrait and landscape, the Dvorak Keyboard will let you type in any app using the layout you like most. Features: * Works great in portrait and landscape * Covers all device sizes, even new ones! * Full Dvorak keyboard layout * Punctuation and numbers available at the touch of a button Enjoy, and happy typing! Not accessible enough No feedback is given about entered or deleted characters, though if you check the edit box it does the edits. However, this isn't viable, so I requested a refund. Why Dvorak I've never played with any but a qwrty, and I've always been curious what makes people prefer this one over qwrty. I know qwerty was originally designed to slow people down on typewriters, but is the alternative really that must caster? SDvorak Layout I find it a bit faster... at the very least, it isn't slower, and feels more comfortable because the most commonly used letters and symbols aren't as far away from home row... I don't think the same can be said when typing on mobile, but I still prefer it and it is what I am used to now. dvorak Also, thanks for the suggestions about dvorak keyboards... I tried a free one, however it was not accessible. I saw a bunch of paid ones, but I am not really looking to buy a bunch of keyboards in the hopes that I find a good one unless I have to... hence me reaching out to see if anyone had any experiences with any of them.
