Hello, I am still learning how to do things on my IPhone. How do you delete apps using VoiceOver?

Happy to help!

This was a very hard thing for me to figure out & I had to ask the techs at Accessibility for help. And this was when I had ios 9 so you're not alone!

If you want to delete an app, place your finger on the app you'd like to get rid of, & then swipe downward until you hear `Actions`. Then, just double tap on the app to begin moving or deleting it. When it says `Moving whatever app you want to get rid of`, just double tap to delete it & swipe until you get to the confirm button, double tap & you're done!

Voiceover & ios can be a beast, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be in good shape. Just keep playing with your iphone & you'll figure out some stuff on your own. You may need to ask for help & that's ok! I know I had to & I still do! I'm kind of a noobie because I've only been using ios. for 2 or 3 months on an ipad. And I had to make that transsion from braille to ios. which was pretty crazy & rocky! Keep at it! Good luck & hope this helps!

Another way

Here is another way to delete apps that I find a little quicker. Highlight the app you wish to delete, then double tap and hold on the app. When it says "moving apps", tap the screen with a second finger while still keeping the first on the screen. You will then be prompted to delete the app. After you delete it, Voiceover will announce the next app followed by something like "editing". From there, you can either find another app to delete or hit the home button to exit edit mode. It sounds complicated, but after you've done it a time or two, it will be really quick and easy.

Delete multiple apps...

Hello,

Another way to delete apps.

If you have multiple apps to delete, single finger double tap and hold on any app until you hear moving app name. Lift your finger then swipe left or right until you hear the name of the app you want to delete. Single finger double tap on the app you want to delete and tap OK to confirm. You can then swipe left or right to find the next app you want to delete then double tap that too. When you’re done, press the home button one time.

HTH and good luck.

Deleting apps you'll never use

I especially like that now we can delete those apps that come with the phone that we'll never use. Good luck, Cookie!
