Hello world! since the last whatsapp update, they have seriously damaged the use with VoiceOver. entering that pttplay button to be pressed to play the voice message is nonsense. in addition, the cursor jumps from one message to another in a conversation. is it the same with you? are we hoping something will work out? I reported to them and I hope they will heed my complaint.

As you pointed out, the cursor-jumping issue has become quite irritating since the last release. Hope they fix it.

I came on here to post about this. Yes, VO is jumping when navigating through messages, and now voice messages have a “PTT Play” button. Apart from the poor button labelling (what does “PTT” even mean?) it’s twice as much flicking to navigate through voice messages.

I emailed What's App support last week and they stated they were fixing this issue in a future update. I keep checking every day and no update as of yet. VO craziness can be a bit irritating.

I am also experiencing this issue. Definitely makes the app less than a joy to use. Here's hoping an update will be forthcoming soon.

Ever since I noticed this craziness that came along with the latest what's up update, I have stopped using it and will wait for a new version release.
Let's hope they fix it soon.

THe latest whatsapp beta does not contain this bad thingy, and they assure that they will produce the public version in the next 4 days, also, we will be able to press on the voice message itself not the play button or anything.

Whatsapp is fixed and now adds support for speed playback options, once you play a message, there's a button that is a toggle between normal and other speeds. It works fine on my end and highly favor this update much.

Hello. I tested this feature out and it also works fine on my end. I played around with different speeds and it is quite amusing.

they fixed it, and even added a speed button. I have everyone at 2 x or 1.5 x. wish they had a 3 4 or 5 as I listen fast.

I don't use whatsapp anymore because of the fact that they just give your info out to facebook. I now use telegram and signal which both work great. I also use discord a good amount as well.

Hello all. My WhatsApp is not working with VoiceOver at all. I am using the most recent IOS and the most recent version of WhatsApp. When I open the app and touch the screen, I just get that rapid clunk clunk noised that indicates no accessible content. It wont/can’t focus on anything.

Any suggestions? Is there a voiceover setting that I am missing? Is this happening to anyone else?

I just heard someone demoing WhatsApp a couple of days ago and it did everything she wanted it to.
