Hi, is anybody aware of any good talking compass apps. I am not looking for one that is like a GPS. Am just looking for an app that can tell me which direction I am facing .

The builtin app in iOS does this just fine. It will say things like, 142 degrees, N E. Which means, the phone is pointing 142 degrees, and the direction is northeast. Hold your phone flat in the palm of your hand, with the sleep button on the top facing out.
