cellular data question

iOS and iPadOS
Hi, all. I just listened to the podcast on the cellular data feature in IOS 7, but I do have a question. I was able to hear VoiceOver read the data usage for the system services; however, it only reads the state of specific apps, i.e., whether they are on or off for being allowed to use data. I'm told by friends, and have read some articles on the internet about this, that each individual app also displays stats for how much data is being used. Is this just not accessible to us? Because, I don't see this when I look at my apps, but my friends see megabyte usage for every app that is using data on their phone, not just the system services. Any help with this would be appreciated.

it indeed shows data usage of every single app, unfortunately, voiceover does not read the stats.

That's really disappointing, because I think that feature could be extremely useful when deciding which apps to allow access to cellular data.
