Cannot send emails on iPhone

iOS and iPadOS

I have an iPhone 8 using IOS 14.8 and the native email app. For the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to send messages. The error says that the password for ***@smtp.cox.net is not valid. The stars are the first part of my email address. I have looked at the mail settings and can't find anything about a password. I am able to send messages from my Mac, so, it doesn't make sense.
Should I reinstall the IOS app? Or, is this a problem with Cox?

A couple suggestions

I would go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and re-enter the password for the problem account.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, I would next try removing the account and re-adding it.

Good luck! ☺️
