Bug with new version of Earl?

Dear All, Since I downloaded the latest version of Earl which was available a couple of days ago, I appear to be experiencing a really annoying bug. Every five seconds or so, the speech synthesiser I am using stopps working and an error message appears which states "speech synthesiser faulty". This is after about two or three seconds of nothing. The speech synthesiser 'reads' the error message but nothing happens for a further three or four seconds. This is very annoying because Earl is no longer useable with this bug. Has anyone else experienced this? I have contacted the developer and am awaiting a response. I am using an Iphone 4s with the latest IOS software, have a full wi fi signal (tried this at home and at my work, a university)and using the UK English female voice. Thanks, Steve.
