Best audio recording apps for making a podcast

By Leslie, 26 July, 2020

Forum
iOS and iPadOS

Silver subject line is pretty self-explanatory. I have a podcast which I use anchor to create, but recently I've had issues with the app kicking me out when I record a podcast episode. I do have the beta of iOS, but that might be the issue. Who knows though. What I will likely do is record it on another audio recording app and import it into anchor that way. So with that being said, what recording apps do you recommend that would be good for podcasting. Thanks a bunch,
Leslie.
PS, sorry if this post either doesn't make sense or sounds really messed up. I have not been to sleep for 24 hours and my brain is very tired. LOL. :-)

Hi,
I too also use backpack studio. it's the best when it comes to recording great podcasts. I even love the ability to use sound pads. those are fun.

Hi, I'm beginning to use anchor but never been able to put sounds on my recordings rather than the background music. Therefore, would you suggest me to change to backpack and then I will be able to do so?
thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes, I unfortunately don't use anchor anymore. I used to, but unfortunately, the last version broke accessibility, so I've uninstalled it and moved to backpack studio.

I got it.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I just got backpack studio earlier this morning and I recorded a podcast episode test thing for it. Now I was wondering, where can I go to get sound effects or royalty free music for use as background music or interludes for my episodes? I used to record it using anchor, but I've been having issues and they have a bunch of interludes and music background tracks that I used to use. How can I use the background tracks in backpack studio? Thanks in advance and I hope that I explained things well enough.
