assigning custom alerts in iOs?

I take it the answer is no but let me try anyway

I have a 5 second alert sound I want to assign to a what's app group. I imported it with iMazing into iOs with the ringtones function but I cannot find it, and I cannot find a way to move that now wing tone to the alerts section. Is there a way for me to do this with iMazing or through iOs itself?

So thanks to a snipped from google I learned I can assign a custom alert fo events in iOS itself but I guess there are app dependent. I cannot do this in what's app as it does not detect my other ringtones. Anyone know if there is a setting in what's app to scan my ring tones library and have it where I can choose my alerts?
