Am I going crazy?

iOS and iPadOS

I thought that in iOs 13 there was aa way to have iOs remove apps more than x months old from your phone. I got told by someone on twitter that it was under settings, general, storage. I remember it being there as well. I looked this morning and I could not find it. I'm using 13.5. So, did I some how miss it, all 5 times I looked, or is it just not there anymore? I normally never ever post on here anymore unless I really need to, and this time, I really need to.

Offload unused apps

By Andrew Engelhardt

Under general, go to device storage rather it’s iPhone or iPad. Look for offload unused apps. Make sure that the feature is enabled, if is not on it should say enable. Select it to turn it on.

No, I assure it's not there.

No, I assure it's not there. I went to general, iphone storage , and all that was there was a list of apps. Then after all of that was, on my iphone, system, and other. That's it. There was no "offload unused apps." Is this option really gone?

Here is a quick [demo](http://tffppodcast.com/files/option%20for%20offloading%20apps%20on%20ios%20is%20just%20plane%20gone.mp3) I hope this works? As you will see, the option just plane is not there when I scroll.

Offload toggle

From Iphone Storage settings, we can only toggle on the Offload App option. If we have to toggle it back off, then we have to go to iTunes and Appstore settings. The toggle is not showing in the Iphone Storage setting simply means it's already enabled. However just to rarefy go to iTunes and Appstore settings, toggle it off and again come back to Iphone Storage settings to find it there to be turned back on.

Hth,

it's there but ...

Yep it's on. Interesting. I would not have thought of this.

actually I thought the option completely removed the app. I would have liked that actually. as most apps are bigger than the data. lol!

You cannot set a threshold.

You cannot set a threshold. And as for the place holder, that is the app itself. Look at the description that iOs gives you. It leaves the app on your system, then removes the data. I would want this thing to uninstall the app completely. I think the threshold is maybe 6 or 8 months, something ridiculous like that.
