Command+D

As Safari has both Favorites and bookmarks, the traditional way to add a bookmark is Command+D.

Favorites are bookmarks that you can add and get access to, found on the Safari browser home screen.

to add a bookmark from safari, just double tap and hold show bookmarks, the on the bottom of the safari window, modify the text if you want to and confirm.
you can save it as a favorite choosing favorites folder.
