Hello everyone,
My latest app, ReSort, is now available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Water sort is one of the most popular puzzle genres in the world, played by millions of people. But most games in this genre are full of ads and timers, and many of them cannot be played with a screen reader at all. That is why I made ReSort: a calm, ad-free water sort game that you can play with VoiceOver, a keyboard or touch.
How does it work?
In front of you there are several tubes. Each tube holds layers of colored water stacked on top of each other: blue at the bottom, red above it, green on top, and so on. Some tubes are empty. Your goal is to pour the water between the tubes until every color is gathered in a tube of its own: all the blue in one tube, all the red in another.
When you select a tube and then choose another one, the top layer of water is poured into it. But water can only be poured onto water of the same color, or into an empty tube. This is where the puzzle begins: you have to think about which water to move first, and when to use the empty tube. A level is complete when every tube is filled with a single color.
Levels go from simple to challenging. The first levels introduce the game with just a few colors and tubes; as you progress, the number of colors and tubes grows and the puzzles get longer. New levels keep coming after level 100, and there is a new daily puzzle every day.
There are no timers and no move limits, so you can take as long as you like. You can undo a move, and ask for a hint when you get stuck.
With VoiceOver, you can hear which colors are in each tube and in what order, and find out which tubes you can pour into. The game tells you what happened after every move, and you can adjust how much is announced. Optional color symbols, sounds and haptics are also available.
The first 10 levels are free. After that there is a one-time Full Version purchase, with no subscription. Accessibility features are always free. The app collects no data and needs no account.

Yees! I Love These
Thanks for another great game. I love sorting games now. Lol
Love this game too
Thanks for this game and I'm glad developers are making these kinds of games accessible. Been wanting more of these.
Paid Levels vs. Paid Stars
How about you make stars paid instead? The game does sound tempting but I’ll be direct and honest: Since you also live in Türkiye and know how things work and what’s going on here, the price is unfortunately not one that I would pay, given this is just a game and we now have an abundance of similar concepts. Really, it attracted my attention that so many accessible puzzle games have been either released or announced on Applevis over the recent weeks. So instead of locking a huge number of puzzles/levels behind a paywall, make stars paid instead, or let players watch an add to get stars or move on to the next level, and let players unlock a bunch of stuff from hints to themes and background ambience/music by spending stars. And then you can also introduce a move limit and reward stars based on that. I want to progress by actually challenging myself rather than paying. I can also contribute SFX and background sounds myself.
I love the game.
I got the game and liked it enough to buy the full version. The price was fine here in the U.S.
Re: Paid Levels vs. Paid Stars
If the stars were paid then what would players get when they win? I don’t know how I feel about that idea. I’ve never thought about it. If there are so many that are accessible to us, can you please recommend me some? I’ve been looking for them. I have Boba sort. I have this one. I have the nail polish one and I think that’s it. If you could recommend me some more, that would be great. Thank you.
My thoughts
I started playing the game tonight and really like it a lot. I'm up to level 5. I then tried the daily puzzle, but found it too challenging. Would it be possible to make the daily puzzles a little easier?
Re: Yees! I Love These
Your comment made me happy! I came across these kinds of games while working on ReSort, and now I enjoy playing them too.
Re: I love the game.
I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you so much, and happy playing!
Re: Love this game too
Thank you for your interest! I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on with the game. Happy playing!
Re: Paid Levels vs. Paid Stars
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'm new to game development, and I plan to work on themes, sound effects, and other additions as I go. Thank you also for your kind offer to help with the sounds.
Re: My thoughts
I'm happy you're enjoying the game! The regular levels gradually get harder. I made the daily puzzles more challenging because I thought some players might wonder whether the game would stay easy. But I see your point, and I can work on that. Please keep sharing your suggestions!
A suggestion
You could have different daily puzzles. An easier one, a harder one. and maybe a novelty one if you know what I mean, like a very big one, or something. Lol. I also really like the sounds, and I hope one day we can buy or acquire more or different varieties. That could be really fun.
Fun but tube size
I wish the tube size was bigger or adjustable so I could make more use of my vision, i feel like the text and actions take up a lot of space though barely used, while the tubes are pretty small.
Yes, More sounds would be great.
The sounds in this game are nice, but to be honest with you My Favorite sound is the pouring sound when you get to the top I would like to have more liquid based sounds if it could be possible to add like different packs to buy with coins or something that would be wonderful if it’s not too much to add.
Re: A suggestion
Thank you for the suggestions, Leela! I'll work on the daily puzzles and explore more variety in their difficulty and size. I'm also aware of the expectations for more sounds, and I plan to spend a lot of time working on that. I'm glad you're enjoying the current sounds. Wishing you a lovely day and happy playing!
Re: Fun but tube size
Thank you for the feedback, Jonathan. I'd really like to work on this. Could you describe your suggestions in more detail and let me know what specific changes would make the game more comfortable and useful for you? That would help me understand how best to improve the layout and tube sizes.
Re: Yes, More sounds would be great.
Thank you, Lexi! Your interest and feedback made me very happy. You can be sure that I'll be working on the sounds.
This game is great quick question
I like this game so far. I do have a question. Is there any point of someone who is totally blind buying themes? Or are they just for sighted people? Does anything new get added as we play like new colors new sounds things like that? I’m just wondering since the game keeps giving us levels so I was wondering if there’s anything that we would notice that changes at all
Re: This game is great quick question
Hi Lexi, thank you for this thoughtful question. At the moment, themes only change the visual background, so they don't offer an additional experience for people playing with VoiceOver without seeing the screen. There will be a few small touches to address this in the next version.
Themes aren't purchased; they unlock with the stars you earn by completing levels. There currently aren't any separate sound effects tied to themes or unlocked as you progress. Adding more variety to the sounds is also something I'm working on.
Thank you so much for your understanding and suggestions!
Saving progress
Is there a way in the future you can make it where progress is saved? I played it on my phone and downloaded this to my ipad and would like to continue from where I left off.
ReSort 1.1 is now available
Hello everyone,
I have tried to bring a lot of the feedback I received here into the app. ReSort 1.1 is now available on the App Store. Here is what's new in this update:
Ranks
- Finish levels and daily puzzles to collect stars and climb seven ranks, from Apprentice to Legend. The rank card on the home screen tells you where you are and how many stars you need for the next rank.
- Reaching a new rank is celebrated and announced with VoiceOver.
- Every new rank unlocks new sounds, so your sound options grow as you climb the ranks.
Sound effects
- Choose the sound for each of the game's 11 moments, such as selecting a tube, pouring and finishing a level.
- Use the sounds you just unlocked, or pick sounds from earlier ranks and customize the game your way.
- Swipe up or down on a row: the sound plays right away and tells you which rank unlocks it. You can listen to locked sounds too.
- Set the effects volume, or turn off the sound for any moment.
Background music
- Music box melodies play while you play. Set the music volume separately, or turn it off. Play shuffled, in order, or the same track on repeat.
More
- Tube size: make tubes Large or Extra large in Settings, Appearance. Easier for low vision players.
- Daily puzzles now come in easy, medium and hard, plus a big Sunday puzzle on Sundays. The easy daily puzzle is free for everyone, every day.
- iCloud sync: your progress, stars and rank on all devices with the same Apple Account. You can turn it off in Settings, Data.
- Optional daily reminder (off by default) and sharing your daily result.
- An info button on the sound and music screens briefly explains what's on them.
For those who want more variety
- If you would like different sounds from the game's effects and music, I have made a Sound Pack and a Music Pack. One-time payment, no subscription.
- You can listen to every sound and melody before you buy. The packs only change sounds and music; the game itself and all accessibility features are open to everyone.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I would love to hear your thoughts on the new version and about any problems you run into.
Thank you!
Thanks for adding icloud sync now I can play on my phone and ipad.
A question
Hello, I just opened the game for the first time after updating. And I’m confused about something. Shouldn’t the full version include everything or am I missing something? Also, our the sounds for the moments able to be used for other moments? For example, there is a sound for finishing a tube. It’s actually the default sound that I would like for my pouring sound instead is there a way for me to do that or is that specific to that moment?
Braille
Does this work with a Braille Display? Additionally, does it mess around with / steal background audio e.g. Audible or YouTube?
I used to play 7 Little Words with an audio book going, speech muted and entirely with Braille, but this has been changed now for a few years and how it is set up now is unworkable for me. Thoughts?
Re: Braille
I am able to play this perfectly with my Braille display. I also just double checked and it works when I'm playing Apple Music, so I assume it would be the same for other background audio?
Re: Braille
Thank you! I'll give it a try!
Re: Thank you!
Thank you for your interest and your kind feedback! I'm glad iCloud sync lets you play on both your iPhone and iPad now. I always look forward to hearing how the game is going for you. Wishing you a lovely day!
Re: A question
Hi Lexi, thanks for asking. The Full Version unlocks the levels beyond the free section. The Sound Pack and Music Pack are separate, optional one-time purchases; neither is needed for gameplay or accessibility.
At the moment, each game moment has its own selection of sounds. For example, you can choose a different pouring sound for pouring, or a different tube-completion sound for completing a tube, but you can't use a tube-completion sound for pouring. I could explore a shared sound library in a future update, so any sound could be assigned to any moment. What do you think of that idea?
Re: Braille
To be honest, I've been curious about how ReSort works with a Braille display, but I don't own one and haven't been able to test it myself. I'm very glad to hear that it's working well for you, including while Apple Music is playing. Thank you, Paige, for testing and sharing this, and thank you, LadyMunch, for asking!
Re: A question
I think that’s a great idea. I’m definitely going to make all of the purchases except for the theme since they’re not really what I would need as a totally blind person, but I will definitely buy the purchases like the sounds and the music.
Re: A question
Hi Lexi,
That's so lovely to hear, thank you! The sounds and music are what really make the difference when you play by ear, and that's how I play it too. Your support means a lot to me. If you have any ideas for new sounds or music, I'd love to hear them.
Best regards,
Recep
