just download the game.
but, I am a little bit messing up.
how to hit the ball?

I think the tutorial should be let us try it.
not just listen it.

By ming on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

it is a great work.
and I am looking for more new game titles release soon!

By Harry on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

Hi ming, thanks so much for the giving the game a go. Centering the ball is a great place to start, just to get in the swing of returning the ball. Once you've got that practiced you can focus on trying to win.

By ming on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

hey! thanks for the tips

I suggest that next update it can have some "oosh oosh " sound when swing the device...

By Maranatà on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

Hi, thank you very much for this game, I just bought it! Please, would it be possible to have a textual manual of the game so can I translate it into Italian using the Google translator? A text instruction manual would be good for anyone who doesn't know English well.

By ming on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

hope someone will do a podcast and tell us how to play!
still can not hit the ball correctly

By ming on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

hey!
I finally win one person!
and hopefully!
the swing sound will be update in the next version.
and hopefully it can have a training or pratice mode.

I agree to the swooshing sound idea.

Can someone please provide a code for me to download the game

By Siobhan on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

Hi. I clicked on the link and found a product not found. Also how much is it? As for the person asking for a code to the game, Really? Way to say thanks for a developing game, gimme a freebie.

By Harry on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

Hi Siobhan! The game is £1.99, apologies for that link going down, I've edited the post now!

You can find it here: https://www.purplejamaudio.com/product-page/pitch-black-audio-pong-mac-os-x-1

To Mihir, whilst I appreciate not everyone can afford the game, piracy has a hugely negative effect on studios, particularly small indie studios like ours, and given £1.99 is a very reasonable price it seems inappropriate to ask for a code, particularly on this forum.

By Sabrina on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

I don't see how this makes sense. Every time a new game is released the two main words are podcast and promo code. There is a reason for the game to be paid and also, maybe you should try the game before requesting a podcast?

By Trenton Matthews on Thursday, March 5, 2020 - 18:47

Considering that the game is only $2 in the US at least, a code would not be necessary. Just have someone gift ya the game.

As for the podcast, there's already a demonstration for the game on the Pitch Black YouTube channel.

Not every app made among AppleVis needs a podcast folks.

Is this game on MacBook Air 13 I’m trying to dmdownload this game on my MacBook 13 update

By David Standen on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 18:47

Yes, there is a mac version available. The link was posted in a previous comment. I started playing this game last night. I'm not very good yet, but I'll get there with practise. Well done.

By Maranatà on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 18:47

Good morning. I apologize, but I still haven't figured out how to move the ball. Do I have to rotate the phone or are my fingers enough? If I hear the ball in the right headset, should I touch the screen on the right side? Does the ball go in a random direction or can it be controlled? Thank you. I'm playing on iphone x.

By Emily Chia on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 18:47

I’m having trouble downloading the game I click on the link and add to cart but uthere’s nothing to purchase is there a easier way to do this

By Harry on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 18:47

Hi Maranata, yes, a good place to start is to try centering the ball, you control the paddle by touching the left and right side of your screen. By swiping right from your home screen you'll be taken to the tutorial which'll hopefully help you out.

Hi Emily, we can send you a direct download link via e-mail and you pay via our PayPal tip jar. That may be easier.

This is crazy! Wanting a podcast almost immediately after a release? A lesson can be learned from your first few posts, Ming. Notice the first response from the app developer and your response. Common sense tells you to try centering the ball. Based on your response to the developer after getting this tip indicates that the tip helped. I, for one, do not want a podcast showing how to play this soon, as it would be a huge spoiler and take away from the game's replay value. Part of the challenge of any game is to work at success. If someone else does it for me, a lot of the fun is now gone.

By charles on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 18:47

Rather than having someone give it to you as a gift, buy it. It's only $1.99 if you are in the United States. Although a gift would be nice, is it really necessary? Support Harry.

First of all, this might be a good little time killer. Although an interactive learning experience might be better, I realize that it might be difficult to incorporate. I will listen to what is provided in the game a few more times to figure out the sounds. Now, questions: If the ball is on the extreme left side and I tap there, the ball moves toward the middle, but maybe not all the way there. Is it traveling toward me and is my objective to get it in the middle before it reaches me? If so, should I again tap the left edge?, or should I tap where I think the ball is in order to nudge it more toward the middle? Also, how do I find out the current score of the match against this opponent? Is the match the best 2 out of 3, or is there a winning score to attain before the opponent gets that score? A comment on the demo on the YouTube link previously given: I could not really tell what was going on because music is getting in the way of game sounds or any talking. Other game comments: Thank you for not including music that gets in the way of game play. I also like the somewhat ornery taunts from opponents such as, "I don't know what you brought to the table, but it won't help you here!"

Hi everybody!

Audio Pong V2 has (finally) launched!

It fixes some bugs and makes a few general improvements to game play, as well as adding new features..

ENDLESS MODE: This allows you to play until you lose, then submit your high score to the all new cross-platform leaderboard!

TOURNAMENT MODE: This is where you play ever more difficult opponents, all characters from Pitch Black: A Dusklight Story, until you beat the Emperor (the 5th opponent).

We've also improved the tutorial, making it interactive and changing the trainer voice over.

Hope you enjoy this new update everybody! Would love to read your thoughts.

All the best
Harry

Haven't listened to the trailor yet, but this game does sound fun. I may have to check this one out.

A question though: does this game require motion control, or can you move your paddle by swiping or touching different parts of the screen? I normally don't like games that require motion control; I find it a bit too sensative sometimes, never mind that you may not always be in an ideal place for moving your phone around like a Wiimote. Blindfold Pong did that, and it kind of turned me off.

Does this game have a lot of lag if you play with Air Pods. My Pros are all I've got at the moment for headphones.
Here's a suggestion for a future version if it hasn't been thought of already. What about a Break Out or Arkanoid style mode for single player?

As for a podcast, why not? Some people might like a short demo with some tips to play a game, especially if it's a paid game that people aren't sure they will like. As soon as a mainstream game comes out, there are Let's Plays all over YouTube. A podcast wouldn't be any different.
