AudioWizards Press Kit. Almost all information is in the link

iOS & iPadOS Gaming

Hi all

We have prepared a Press Kit about the AudioWizards game, so we could tell the world what the game is about. We have sent it to a good number of gaming magazines and sites, and we wanted to share it with you all.

The press kit includes quite much information, like main facts, what the game is about, how the concept was born, and then it includes too some videos, pictures, and audio.

We believe that many of you will find this information valuable, specially when launching day is so close. Launching day is 1st September, so next Sunday, and if there doesn't appear any last hour problem, it will simultaneously appear in for both iOS and Android, in App Store and Google Play respectively.

You can share if you wish the press kit with your network, in case you know podcasters, streamers, bloggers, blind people associations, NGO working on assistive technology, blind game developers and programmers, or other players that might be interested in such game but don't follow actively audiogame forums.

Remember still that the game main game mechanics are based on audio, but we have made the game also accessible to the sighted, so they also can play, because playing good games is an universal right to everyone wink

And here is the link:

Very best regards, and wishing you enjoy the game
David and the AudioWizards team

I just read the press kit and am so excited for this game.

Don't discontinue this new game like GoldGun. Hopefully this one will stay around for awhile. Looking forward to it.

We have avoided many of the pitfalls GoldGun faced during its development and launch so don't worry, we're not planning to give up on this game! :)

hello all, this was just posted to the audio games forum, here is how to play Audio Wizards and i admit whilst initially it sounds easy hear a sound, respond, and counter attack, i have a feeling, will get a lot more challenging!!!!

Submitted by myTrueSound on Thursday, August 29, 2019

Will, you are absolutely right. The difficulty grows very organically from level to level, there are some special enemies requiring different type of actions, and enemies might approach simultaneously from different lines and so it becomes quite challenging to identify them and react on time. I had quite many difficulties to get some levels done, and no way I could perform most of them without errors. The guys behind the game are players themselves, and they didn’t want to give an easy and boring game. The videos are just a little taste. To gamers that like fast pace games this is quite of a candy.

hi all, here is level 6 gameplay, that was posted by the audio wizards team. as you can hear multiple hits per enemy are required even at this stage. wondering what is super gague?

Thanks for posting the gameplay video!

The Super Gauge as you are wondering is related to a gameplay element we haven't talked about much. It's revealed later in the Story Mode (Level 11) and is something you should only use when in a pinch as it makes you pretty unstoppable for a certain period of time. Don't worry, acquiring it is hard in itself and it requires a proper timing to make best use of it.

No problem @audio_wizards
As I stated, seems very cool concept even though initially i was sceptical saying it is just like bop-it i think it will be really fun once playing. the water sound i feel is very easy distinguish but do the fire enemies and lightning sound weak as approaching? also, did anyone else notice when the "skip intro" read it kept talking via SAPI in this case? look forward playing? may try infinite mode first's before the story see how challenging it will get lol.

Submitted by myTrueSound on Thursday, August 29, 2019

The first time you play a level, it is a must to listen the story and so “skip Intro” button is disabled. So SAPI won’t disturb the voice of Saundaman the first time you play a level. We presume that many levels will require many tries to be passed, specially if you want to do a perfect and unlock the three stars. Intro will disturb then, and therefore “skip Intro” is enabled and already active. Double tap the screen when the level starts, and you don’t need to even listen the ugly SAPI voice ;) . We didn’t find a better way to solve this, so suggestions are welcomed

It seems like a whole lot of work has gone into this game. I can't wait to hear how all the chozen music sounds throughout. And hopefully this paves the way for more good things in the future.

I have no problem buying apps but would like to know the price of this game

Submitted by Sasha Stride on Thursday, August 29, 2019

saw it on an early post. I will get that game!

Submitted by Will on Friday, August 30, 2019

Hi do we know when on sunday the game is out for download?

Submitted by Will on Friday, August 30, 2019

other than being perfect at the level, what difference will it make to get 1, 2 or 3 stars? also will 20 levels be all in the story mode?

Submitted by AudioWizards on Friday, August 30, 2019

The game will be out no earlier than 15:00 pm gmt on Sunday. We will make an official announcement here and other places once the game is out. Unfortunately it largely depends on Apple's Review time and we keep fingers crossed that they get it done as soon as possible.

You will always earn at least 1 star when you complete the level but other two are given depending on your performance. There is some room for error but you have to be pretty good to earn all stars for each level. For now the 20 story levels are everything there is in the story but do not worry, it will definitely not be the end of them. Keep following us for any future updates :)

so, my time zone is GMT time +8 hours
it will be released at around 11:00 pm my time?
or depends on our local apps store?

Submitted by Will on Saturday, August 31, 2019

i think so but guess depends if apple aprove in time for tomorrow.

Submitted by Will on Saturday, August 31, 2019

i don't think we should be expecting the game out 1 september. does the presskit mention that specific date? hope out tomorrow, but think expecting a bit much.

Submitted by KE7ZUM on Saturday, August 31, 2019

Agreed. I've never seen nothing but emergency updates released on a Sunday. I'm betting next Thursday or so.

Submitted by Joel on Saturday, August 31, 2019

To clarify, Apple does release updates on weekends. They don’t, however, approve apps on weekends. Considering that the app was submitted yesterday, there is no way it will be out by tomorrow.

Submitted by myTrueSound on Saturday, August 31, 2019

Yeah, most probably is better to relax and enjoy the weekend. I bet it will be on Tuesday, since the game has been in Test Flight on five different versions without a single crash, and those analytics should help in the review and publication process.

With no doubt we uploaded a bit too late, perhaps, but the guys wanted to improve few things and wanted to be sure that all worked as intended. I’m sure you also prefer to wait two extra days, if that translates on an error free app with all details taken to the top.

The guys did very long days the last two weeks, not because they were late, but because they wanted to add all the cool ideas that were coming to their mind on the last minutes. I bet they dreamt with the game, and sure they should be proud of what they created.

So all this bla bla bla, was to ask you for comprehension and patience. Nevertheless, perhaps the Apple guys work on Saturday, are enjoying to play it until the last level, and tomorrow we have it there. As the team said before, they will do the final announcement once it is there.

Regards to all

Is everything going to be in a story or will there be gameplay like without it? Just asking because I don't like games where I have to follow a story all the time. If it is a straight path.

Submitted by Remy on Saturday, August 31, 2019

There's a story mode and a straight gameplay mode. Something for both types of gamer.

Submitted by Sasha Stride on Saturday, August 31, 2019

That sounds awesome. I will love to play the story mode but the other one is what I will prefer. Cannot wait! Actually the story sounds cool.

Submitted by myTrueSound on Sunday, September 1, 2019

Hello! Yesterday I said perhaps Apple people worked on Saturday and so actually they did. We just got confirmation that in some few hours we will be online. An official new post in the game releases room wii appear then. Thanks everyone for the patience and let’s play.

Submitted by ming on Sunday, September 1, 2019

hopefully I can get it at my local apps store at the same time as well.
if so, it should be released in the evening time or night time in Hong Kong

All the music can be listened within the game without the need to play the levels, in the so called Music Room. Spotify has crossed our mind, and it might be something we figure out how to do in the next days. All musicians who gave us their music, have also the right to use their own music for their own interests, both original version and the one as it was re-arranged for the game, under a shared ownership agreement. This has been I think a very nice win-win deal

Submitted by KE7ZUM on Sunday, September 1, 2019

Nice. I hope it can be release don spotify. That will be one more thig to use when I work out this month. I also hope to do a podcast on this game, as soon as I'm done with a series I'm working on. Lol!
