I updated IOS to 7.1 yesterday and I have not experienced any problems so far apart from 'location tracking' being 'on' all the time. Previously, I went to the app switcher by hitting the home button twice and doing the three finger swipe thing to close them down. However, with IOS 7.1 I have no apps open and the 'location tracking' is still on.

Ever since I updated my iPhone to 7.1 yesterday, I seem to have a large amount of battery drain. I'm losing about 3 percent of battery an hour, and that's if the phone is just sitting there, locked. I've checked all of my settings, and everything is exactly the same as it was before I updated. Is anyone else having batter issues since updating? I just charged my phone 2 hours ago, and it's already down to 93 percent, with barely any usage.

I'm really scratching my head on this one. Ever since I updated to iOS 7.1 I've had issues with the dictation. Any time I use the feature that allows me to dictate text into an edit field I'm unable to enter a period. Instead of the actual period getting entered, I get the word "period" entered into my text. It's driving me nuts. All the other punctuation are entered correctly except for the period. I've searched Google up and down and haven't found anyone else who is encountering this problem. This was not an issue for me when I was using iOS 7.0.

Hello,
I just updated to IOS 7.1 which I believe is the latest version. I am using an iPhone 5 32 gig. When I updated my phone, it seemed like the enitial update didn't fully install, so it prompted me to update again. So I proceeded to update the darn thing and it installed correctly. When I got to my password screen to to log in, it froze up on me and it took a while for it to register the letters that I'd pressed. I have an external keyboard which I used and it also froze. I am concerned because I don't know of a way to restore the update. Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello all,
As some of you know, yesterday's update brought with it a huge feature for Hebrew speakers - TTS and Braille support. The TTS being used is a voice from Nuance, named Carmit. This is really the first time in Israel that a blind person can go to a phone store, pick up a phone and have it accessible out of the box, thanks to Apple for there hard efferts on this subject. Hello all, Opened the Health app today and set up as much as I could, and it seems that I need a second app that tracks things like steps and mileage when I workout. Any recommendations on the best app to pair with the health app and any problems with pairing them? I have a iPhone 5, but will be upgrading in December or January.

Hi. In iOS 6 and below there were sounds when you locked or unlocked your device. In iOS 7, there was a sound when you locked your device, but not when you unlocked it. Did the unlock sound come back in iOS 8? Are there any other new or changed sounds or ring tones in iOS 8?

I have just discovered that if the Alex voice is enabled - Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Voices > English > Alex - then the Speak Screen function will work once normally and will then appear to work, but there will be no sound. Selecting the Default or Enhanced Quality English voice will allow Speak Screen to work consistently. You must restart (press home button and lock button) after changing the setting.
I do not use VoiceOver, but am curious if disabling Alex will fix any of the VoiceOver problems.

Have anyone of you noticed as IOS8 is sucking more free space from our device? For me, while I was with IOS7.1, it was showing me as I was having 12 gig free space and I haven't added anything after that. I've just updated my phone and now, it's showing as I got only 8 something gig free space. where those 4 gig gone? Is this happened to anybody else?

Hello to all,
as you all know, apples iOS 8 will be released to the public tomorrow, so I've come to bring you a few quick things before you upgrade.
First off, since iOS 8 is apples biggest operating system ever, please back up all of your data before continuing with the update. faling to do so could cause you to lues all of your data, so it's a good idea to backup before performing an upgrade.

Sorry to add another message about IOS 8 Apps crashing when Voiceover is employed but sometimes it is startling to discover a problem with such a common App. On my iPhone 5 with 64GB, the phone app crashes when I select the voicemail tab with VO running. If I turn VO off, I can enter the voicemail tab but if I select a voicemail message with VO restarted the phone app crashes again. I've updated to IOS 8.02.
Should I report this to Apple, or has someone here already had this problem and already reported it?

Is there a way to eliminate the display of the hourly weather in the stock iOS app? In version 6, I could toggle between hourly, and a 5 day information. In iOS 8, it's all there, and the screen is more cluttered than I'd like.
