Wifi only apple watch

Hi all. i'm pretty sure that i will want the Apple watch with the cellular connectivity, but i know that's gonna be more expensive. Besides probably waiting to see if anything is changed in Series Six, I don't think so, I'm asking this question to any owners of a watch. If you did buy a wifi only watch, why did you besides of course the price is lower? Is there any regret that you didn't get the cellular model? I don't have that many good wifi connections I trust, so in my view the cellular one is the way to go. I appreciate any answers.

I had the series 3 and now series 5. I can use my watch without no issues. Calls are coming well. If I have my iPhone my jacket, I just use my watch. At home I do not need to run to find my iPhone to answer a call. The new series 5 works well with siri voice as default.

Holger, you did not answer any of my questions. I don't have any issues answering a call on a watch or to "run and find my iPhone". Please, listen to me. Did you or did you not get the wifi only model? If not, that's fine, i am just asking if someone did, why? Please read my post carefully before responding, thank you.

I do have the wifii watch. I do not have the cellular. Did have for my series 3 and also for series 5. No cellular. Did not see the reason for it at this time.

I have a Wifi Series 5. I’ve had no issues, or limitations. I’m never too far from my phone, but I can also go through my 775sq ft home without losing connection.
A cellular service costs $120 a year in the states. For my needs and uses makes it a pointless purchase.

Also I live in Chicago, and there is WIFI allover the city so I can use it with VPM app to protect my data. If you are planning to get check amazon and if you are able to get their amazon card you can get a discount close to $70 and a good price.

I recently got my first Apple watch which is wifi only. The main reason for choosing this option is that when I do travel away from home, my iPhone always goes with me so it would always be within range of the watch. I also have good wifi coverage at home. This is a decision one has to make based on lifestyle. If you have poor wifi coverage at home, or you are happy travelling away from home without your iPhone, then you would probably go for the cellular option, even though it costs more.

I used to agree with all the comments above, and I still do at heart. There's nothing wrong with what anyone says here. Having said that, now I have the cellular i am finding it very handy indeed. Going on short trips and not needing to take my iPhone is nice. Still being able to take calls if my iPhone battery runs out is nice and has come in very handy. still being able to take calls if my iPhone is stolen, as once it was, I think is always useful. No more worrying about how I'm going to ring up my other half and let her know that someone's stolen my phone. None of these is really a very important reason. You can do without all of these things. Even the phone theft thing is very unlikely to happen to you. It's entirely down to lifestyle. Cellular's nice if you can afford it. I can afford it, but if you were to say to me I'm wasting my money I wouldn't be able to argue very strongly against you.
