Questions about typing with Logitech K811 bluetooth keyboard

Hello to all,

This last week. Santa Clause blessed me with an early Christmas present which happened to be a new Logitech K811 bluetooth keyboared. Overall, I am very happy with it. However I am wondering if anyone can help with a question that I've got.

I have noticed that when typing in an edit box such as an e-mail or TXT message and want to edit the text. I am not able to easily place the cursor over the item I want to delete or change. It seems that my cursor is always one caricter off either to the left or rite of where VoiceOver tells me that the cursor is. This is very frustrating when wanting to do any typing. I am using the keyboard on an IPhone 6+ with iOS 9.2.

Any help or information that can help me with this issue will be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Not Sure What You Mean

I don't have that keyboard, but you wrote about putting the cursor "over" the character... My iPhone with a Zagg keyboard puts the cursor to the right of the letter with the right arrow if I'm moving right or the left if I'm moving left, kind of like between the letters, and not over them. It does the same when I'm not using a bluetooth keyboard and swiping left or right in a text field, though, so I often have to swipe or arrow back the other direction to put the cursor in the correct place. I think you can change that on OSX, but not sure if you can on IOS.
Is this what you mean, or am I misunderstanding what you're talking about?

Yes. You are correct. I guess I am not used to typing on an IPhone. I have always been used to the cursor being over the letter that I hear, such as on a Windows machine running JAWS. To me, it is frustrating when I make a mistake in my typing and have a hard time figuring out what I need to do to put the cursor where I want it to be.

Thank you again for your reply! I very much appreciate it!

Best Regards,

Ah, switching between OSs

I understand. I sometimes have trouble switching gears between operating systems, too. Switching between screen readers across platforms can be even worse.
