Question about AfterShokz Trekz, multipoint and seamless switching between paired devices

I have setup my Trekz bluetooth headphones to be paired with both my iPhone 6s and my MacBook using the multipoint facility of the Trekz. For the most part they work well, but switching audio between the iPhone and Mac isn’t always as seamless as I would wish. For example, the Trekz correctly switched to my Mac when I sat down to write this post, but there was no output from VoiceOver through either the Trekz or my Mac’s speaker. I ended up opening iTunes and started playing some music to get the Trekz working as expected.

So, does anybody have any tips for making this process as seamless as possible?
