IOS 7 and the external bluetooth keyboard.

Hello, I have been trying to use my bluetooth keyboard with voice over and it works fine for typing and editing, but when I am trying to use the keyboard shortcuts many of them do not work. Is this a bug, like a major problem or have all of them changed? I have not seen a new keyboard shortcut list in directions and I have searched Apple and the web and accessibility websites for instructions but not have found any. Does anyone have experience with the bluetooth keyboard and voice over or can you point me in the right direction? Thanks,

I am using a misc. quick reference list from SAS. I can give you the exact website and have been trying to duplicate the quick navigation actions, such as open the item chooser or when and app is open, switch directly to the next open app. Open the app switcher. I work with blind and low vision clients that will take an iPhone or iPad into a college classroom and carrying an external keyboard makes it easier to take notes. So we were trying the different short cuts to see what they would do. I have a 4 1/2 page list of shortcuts and in the first page maybe 2 or 3 would work. This is only with voiceover on. So the student would either mute the sound or use and ear bud to hear the commands themself. The address is support.sas.com/misc/accessibility/education/ios/quickref.html? Thank you,

yes, i too have noticed that the ctrl for silencing speech isn't always working. I have found that most commands still work, but a few, most especially the ctrl one, are a bit faulty. but also, make sure you are on iOS 7.0.3, just in case there are updates to fix these. i have not yet tested things in iOS 7.0.3 fully.

Mnknitwit, I'm sorry I am coming so late to this thread. Are the commands you are having trouble with Quick Nav commands. I may be telling you what you already know, but some commands need Quick Mode toggled on before they will work. Turn Quick Nav on by pressing the left arrow and right arrow keys simultaneously. Mine is IOS 7.0.4 and all the commands work fine except one. That is the control key to pause and resume speech.

I have a Logitech K760 Bluetooth keyboard which I've been using for almost a month now on my iPhone 5S using the latest iOS update. All of a sudden this week, it stopped pairing. I first thought there might be a battery issue, so I placed it in a window with lots of sun coming in. When the switch is turnwed on, the green LED light is on. I press the little pairing button on the back and then go to my Bluetooth settings and try to pair. It won't. I thought I should tell the iPhone to forget this device, which I did. Then I did a hard reboot, and now it doesn't even see the keyboard. I tried it on another iPhone 5 (not S) and it won't pair there either. Any ideas? Thank you.
