Hello all:
Am still looking for an accessible way to control my AIr condition using My IPhone or Alexa,
FInally i purchased the Sensibo air, it did the job in a perfect way, and really this is the thing that i need, but i need more than 4 or 5 controllers, and it is not cheap to do so,
am looking for alternatives, just a thing that control my AC through an app or even with my voice.
thanks in advance

The Sensibo Air is great…

The Sensibo Air is great since it is specifically made for air conditioners, but it is pricey. I can also recommend this device. Not only is it a general IR controller, but it also acts as a smart home hub and security system. You can use it with a Homekit and Siri shortcuts. It is the cheapest option that is accessible, works for the Homekit, but it doesn’t have as rich of a feature set as the Sensibo Air since it can control essentially any IR device.

AC Unit with Wifi and optional Alexa Voice control

Hello,
what I got by my landlord having to replace my unit when it stopped working is a Wifi AC.
I can control it with the iPhone and turn it on and off from anywhere, even if I am not at home.

It works with Alexa too, but I don't have that.
The app is:

I only had to label two things, the back button and the Temp button because it says AC temp add. Its not to move the temperature, but to toggle the thing that shows the up and down, and in the middle is the actual AC degrees that it is programmed for at the time. You can tell if you are moving the units because the number in between the Plus and Minus changes.
It has a remote as well, but its too flat. I'm sure it could be labeled if necessary.

The Broadlink Pro devices can be used to control many devices that are usually controlled by an IR remote.

Basically the Broadlink device connects to your home Wifi and with an app on your phone. It has an IR interface on it that will first learn the IR codes from your air conditioner's (or other device's) remote, and then use those codes to control the air conditioner (or other device) via the app.

Do a google search for Broadlink Pro. There are many videos describing how to set it up and how it works.
