Using auto-correct with an external braille keyboard

Braille on Apple Products

I am using iOS 11. When I type on my phone with the print on-screen keyboard, auto-correct catches my spelling mistakes. However, when I use my external braille keyboard, my mistakes remain with no correction. In previous iOS verssions, brailleing auto-corrected. Can I do this, or is this not an option anymore?

what is a braille keyboard?

I don't know of such a peripheral. I would not think that brailled keys on a keyboard would be necessary, as most people use touch typing when using, let's say, the keyboard that is connected to a desktop computer.
